Submit Your Work

To submit your work please send us an email answering these questions:

  1. How can Table Manners support you and your work?

    • A few sentences addressing how you would like Table Manners to support your in-development work.

    • Example: “I would like to do a casted reading in order to hear my work read out-loud. I am at a point with my process where I need actors to embody my characters in order for my editing to progress.“

  2. What are your post-reading discussion questions?

    • Any questions you would like the post-reading discussion to focus on. You can always add more questions leading up to the reading.

    • Example: “Is there enough tension between my two main characters? Are the themes clear? Is there anything you would like to see happen in the world?”

  3. Estimated Run Time

    • Please include an estimated runtime of your work in the body of your email.

  4. Attach a PDF of your work.

Next Steps

After reading your submission we will give you access to our casting folder where you will find resumes, headshots, reels, and websites. Here is what we need from you:

  • Send us a cast list and provide a few alternates for primary characters.

  • Answer the Playwright’s Note prompts.

  • If you are not already a member of Table Manners, please join.

We offer two formats for feedback:

  1. Casted live readings followed by a discussion

  2. Interested members read the work alone and we discuss the work together.

We can explore what format works best for your piece and preferences after our team has reviewed your submission.
