As a child, when her peers went through their Hannah Montana phase, Eloise went through her Ella Fitzgerald phase. “Let’s Call The Whole Thing Off” and “Don’t Fence Me In” were on heavy rotation during middle school morning car rides, much to her mother’s chagrin. Her phase turned into a full blown hobby and by the age of 13 was cast in her first musical Anything Goes relishing each Cole Porter tune she got to sing. She began taking voice lessons at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music where the first song she learned was “Cry Me A River.” During summer and winter breaks from Sarah Lawrence College, Eloise and her stepfather Ralph, a musician and musical director, put together house concerts in Austin and San Francisco. She's always gravitated towards brooding soulful ballads, no surprise that “Plain Gold Ring” has been one of her most performed songs. After receiving a BA in Theater, Education Psychology, and Art History Eloise attended The Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theater. Following graduation, Eloise began collaborating with Charles Becker, pianist and music director. Their work together is her first venture into live performance as a singer in New York City. She’s acted in, written for, and directed indie theater and is looking to enjoy the amazing exchange that occurs when singing for an audience.
